Smooth Start Starter is an electrical version of soft starter which finds application in starting heavily loaded Electrical Motors. In conventional methods of Star-Delta starting and Auto Transformer starting, the maintenance factor is high and they can not offer the features of smoothly starting of the motor. An Electronic soft starter can overcome theses problems but the initial cost and maintainability is high than electrical version. The second factor is more important since the user has to depend on manufacturer to obtain service as he may not be able to employ qualified person to take care of the starter which costs a lot and also consumes time. As compared to above smooth start starter is an ideal solution for smooth starting of Heavily loaded motor.
